How I Use ChatGPT to Write Affiliate Posts Without Burning Out

When I first started affiliate marketing, I spent hours writing posts. It was frustrating and honestly unsustainable. That’s when I turned to ChatGPT and everything changed.

Now, instead of wasting whole days creating one post, I use a simple workflow that helps me plan, write, design, capture emails, and promote affiliate content in a fraction of the time.

If you want to build momentum and make sales fast, below, I share that exact system I use, along with prompts you can copy and paste to start automating your own affiliate posts.

This blog provides tips from my experience and hours of research on how to make money online. Results may vary. There is no guarantee.

Step 1: Plan Content with ChatGPT, Validate in KeySearch

Only posts with the right keywords get clicks. So the first step is to ask ChatGPT to brainstorm topics, then run those ideas through KeySearch to make sure they’re worth writing.

How it works

  • Ask ChatGPT for 3–5 keyword-rich post ideas around your niche.

  • Drop the best ones into KeySearch to check search volume, difficulty (KD), and SERP competition.

  • Pick the keyword that’s winnable (good volume, low/medium KD, weaker SERPs).

What I look for in KeySearch

  • Volume that’s not dead (e.g., 300–3,000+ monthly, depending on your site).

  • KD of <30 you can realistically compete with.

  • SERPs without too many huge authority sites for that exact term.

👉 Why I like KeySearch: It’s affordable and beginner-friendly but still powerful enough to compete with the big SEO tools.

Step 2: Write the Blog Post with ChatGPT

ChatGPT is a great writing tool, especially when you train it on your tone. For affiliate posts, list-style articles usually work best because they let you add affiliate links naturally.

How it works

  • Give ChatGPT a short voice brief (paste the same one every time).

  • Ask for a list-style outline so products fit naturally.

  • Ask ChatGPT to expand each section into 2–3 short paragraphs with a clear “why it’s useful” angle.

Example voice brief (paste once per session)

“Tone: warm, practical, no fluff. Short sentences. Speak like a helpful friend who’s done this before. Avoid hype. Make each section actionable.”

👉 The best part? Once ChatGPT learns your style, the drafts come out close to your own writing and need very little editing.

Step 3: Create Scroll-Stopping Images & Pins with Ideogram

Engaging posts need engaging images. Clean visuals make your content feel premium and also give you material to promote on Pinterest.

How it works

  • Ask ChatGPT for image prompts that match your post angle (hero image + 2–4 pin variations).

  • Use the prompts to batch-generate images for your blog and Pinterest in Ideogram.

Example prompt to use (for image ideas)

“Give me 5 detailed Ideogram prompts for a modern, clean hero image and 4 Pinterest pin variations for a post titled ‘5 Best Desk Accessories for a Productive Home Office’. Focus on tidy desk setups, neutral palette, natural light, and subtle product callouts. Include text overlay suggestions for the pins.”

👉 Why I use Ideogram: The images look professional without me paying a designer or wasting hours in Canva.

Step 4: Build a Simple Lead Magnet with Canva + MailerLite

For continuous affiliate sales, don’t let the traffic leave. Offer a small, useful freebie and collect emails.

How it works

  • Ask ChatGPT to create a 1–3 page checklist or mini guide in Canva that complements the post.

  • Design the lead magnet in Canva (templates make this quick).

  • Set up a MailerLite form to automate email collection and delivery of the freebie.

  • Use ChatGPT to write the lead magnet copy and a 3-email welcome mini-sequence.

Where to place the lead magnet

  • Inline after the intro

  • Once in the middle of the post

  • Once after the conclusion

👉 Why I love MailerLite: It’s beginner-friendly, integrates with WordPress, and doesn’t overcomplicate list building.

Step 5: Promote on Pinterest with Tailwind

Pinterest is a great way to generate blog traffic. I love it because it’s slow-burn traffic that stacks over time. Tailwind helps me stay consistent without posting daily.

How it works

  • Upload your pin variations to Tailwind.

  • Add keyword-rich titles, descriptions, and relevant boards.

  • Schedule across many many weeks so the post keeps resurfacing.

Optional: Make Product Blocks Look Good (Lasso/Shortcodes)

Pretty product displays = better clicks. The Lasso WordPress plugin creates clean affiliate boxes so readers know exactly what they’re clicking to buy. This is great if your focus is on amazon affiliate marketing.

Final thoughts

Affiliate blogging doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With the right workflow and a little help from ChatGPT you can create posts that are polished, optimized, and ready to make sales. The more you repeat the process, the faster it gets.

So grab the prompts, run with them, and try this on your next affiliate post. You might be surprised at just how much easier (and more fun) blogging feels when you let AI do the heavy lifting."
