How to Find the Best Free Digital Marketing Courses

When most people first get interested in digital marketing, they usually do the same thing.

They start searching for courses…then immediately get overwhelmed by prices.

£300 here, £900 there, “Limited-time” coaching offers everywhere.

And honestly? A lot of us simply do not have that kind of money to spend yet. Especially if you are trying to learn digital marketing as a side hustle, during maternity leave, after work, or while figuring out how to make money online.

I was so happy when I learnt that you do not need to spend a fortune to start learning useful skills.

In fact, some of the best beginner-friendly digital marketing courses can be accessed either completely free or for less than the price of a coffee.

These are the two methods I personally think are underrated.

Free Digital Marketing Courses

1. Use the LinkedIn Learning Free Trial

A lot of people forget that LinkedIn actually has a huge learning platform built into it.

And the quality is surprisingly good.

You can find courses on SEO, Pinterest marketing, Social media marketing, Email marketing, Copywriting, Canva, Personal branding and Content creation.

The best part is that many people can access it completely free using the free trial.

How to Do It

  1. Sign up for the LinkedIn Learning free month trial

  2. Go to the Learning section

  3. Search for the specific skill you want to learn

  4. Save the courses you want

  5. Complete as many as possible before the trial expires

If you are focused and intentional, you can learn a LOT within that trial period.

My biggest tip is this:

Do not try to learn everything at once. Pick one thing. For example: Faceless content creation, Canva or SEO. Then binge that topic properly. That alone can completely change the direction of your online business.

2. Use Domestika’s Beginner-Friendly Courses

The second platform I always recommend looking at is Domestika.

This platform is honestly underrated for creative and digital skills.

You can find courses on:

  • Content creation

  • Branding

  • Graphic design

  • Instagram growth

  • Canva

  • Illustration

  • Photography

  • Video editing

  • Digital marketing

  • Pinterest design

  • Storytelling

And sometimes the courses are discounted to around €0.79. Which is basically next to nothing compared to traditional online course pricing.

One thing I also like is that you can actually see how many students took the course and what they thought of it.

Some of the courses have tens of thousands of students and really strong reviews, which helps you avoid wasting time on poor-quality training.

How to find the best free digital marketing course on Domestika

  1. Create an account on Domestika

  2. Search for the skill you want to learn

  3. Sort by popularity or reviews

  4. Check student numbers and ratings

  5. Start with one beginner course instead of buying loads

A beginner course that thousands of people enjoyed is usually a much better place to start than an expensive “guru” course that overpromises everything.

What I Would Learn First as a Beginner

If I was starting from scratch today, I would first do a digital marketing course but I wont stop there. I will immediately focus on also getting skills that can actually help me make money online afterwards.

For example, Canva can help you create scroll-stopping digital products, Pinterest pins, or social media content.

Content writing and affiliate marketing can help you create blog posts or faceless content that earns commission over time. Email marketing teaches you how to build an audience you can later sell products or services to.

And short-form video creation is useful for growing TikTok, Instagram Reels, or faceless pages that promote products online.

The good thing is that one course can open up so many different opportunities online once you actually start using the skills.

They are skills that can actually make money long term.

Final Thoughts

You really do not need to spend thousands to start learning digital marketing.

A lot of beginners delay starting because they think they need the perfect expensive course first.

But honestly, free trials and low-cost beginner courses are more than enough to get started.

The most important thing is not collecting courses.
